SPORTS: Champions League Draw Round of 16, Chelsea draw Napoli

The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 draw was today and Chelsea drew the Italian side Napoli. Great. While Chelsea is one of the top clubs and should be a tough task for any club in the competition, Napoli is the club that just knocked out Manchester City in the group stage and match up well against clubs like Chelsea that doesn’t ”park the bus”.

I’m not as confident with the club this season as I have been years in the past so I don’t know how the blues will fair in a 2 leg tie to be honest. At this point I can see this tie going multiple ways. If Chelsea can get Napoli on the counter attack I see the Blues handling Napoli quiet handily. But if Napoli can out pace and out possess Chelsea it could go horribly wrong for Chelsea.

SPORTS: Kane’s Beauty SO Winner

Patrick Kane scored the winning goal for the Chicago Blackhawks vs the Minnesota Wild in the shootout after a 3-3 tie. His slow approach, quick deke and hammering shot into the back of the net was a thing of beauty.

CARS: K-Series Timing Chain Cover

Skunk2 K series Timing Chain Cover

Skunk2 just released photo’s of their new K Series timing chain cover yesterday.

I like the idea but being a Honda B swapped owner, why didn’t they make this for the B Series as well? I like the look of no timing cover at all on the B Series, but this over the cheap black plastic may sway my mind a bit. Make a B Series cover Skunk2, and I would buy one by the end of summer.

SPORTS: Penguins loose 4-1 to Red Wings

After a nice 2 on 1 goal with a few second left in the 1st by Evgeni Malkin everything seemed to go south from there. Malkin later would go on to get robbed by Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard which was Sportscenter’s 2nd top play of the day yesterday:

 

 

 

 

The Penguins lost 4-1 in a game that Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk dominated play tying the game at 1-1 and adding an assist on the second goal to give the Wings the lead.

Pittsburgh is now 3 points behind the Flyers in the Atlantic.

SPORTS: Rodgers Leads 2012 Pro Bowl Voting

Aaron Rodgers continues to lead the 2012 Pro Bowl balloting with 1,263,045 votes. The Pro bowl balloting concludes Monday December 19th so cast your votes now!

The Packers have two players among top 10 vote getters in the league in Rodgers and Greg Jennings. Nine Packers also lead the NFC in most first place votes by position those players are:

While WR Greg Jennings is 7th overall in NFL votes, he is currently a little less than 200,000 votes behind Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson for the NFC WR lead. Other notable absences are Clay Matthews who was runner up for Defensive Player of the Year last season. It is understandable due to his drop in sacks this season. He should also make the Pro Bowl roster as a back though along with possibilities in CB Tramon Williams, WR Jordy Nelson, TE Jermichael Finley, DT B.J. Raji and LB Desmond Bishop.
